Im going to get a horse and buggy next time.... Our 1990 BMW 535i is Iceland Green. Or it used to be... We started getting pock mark looking spots on it in 1993. The car was still under warrenty. BMW looked at it and said it was acid rain..they are not responsible. We had an expert look at it and go to the dealer. Apparently, it was a problem with the way the clear coat was applied. Still, no luck. We found about 10 other people, same car, same color, same problem. BMW could care less. Then, when the door panels in the back seat blew out, and were recalled, they desroyed the wood trim. Global Imports said that it wasn't their problem and tried to glue it back together... on top of that, they didn't fix the door panel problem correctly, they have blown up again, and Global will gladly repair it to the tune of $1,500.00 a door. Then we bought a Volvo 850 GLT Wagon (1997). Long story short.. they have had to replace my brakes 4 times..but they say there is nothing wrong with my car, they wont replace it (what, am I chewing on my rotors?) and I can basically screw myself. We filed lemon law..we are trying to schedule arbitration, and we find out that because we bought the car under our small buisnesses name we are not eligable for the lemon law. In the meantime, my car has 20,000 miles on it, no brakes, and I have a 2 year old and a newborn..the whole reason for buying "the safest car in the world" . Any suggestions?? Valerie Healey
